Follow the Links Below.

  • Special Event Permit

If you are holding your event at a rented venue. You or someone close to you will need to apply for a special event permit (SEP) to serve alcohol. It cannot be your bartender. The permit is very easy to apply for and only takes a few minutes. You will need to set up a basic BCeID and follow the steps to apply for the permit. We recommend to apply 30 days prior but in most cases permits are approved almost instantly. Contact us for tips on completing your SEP. Whoever applies for the permit will also need their Special Event Server Course (SEC). You need the SEC before the event but not before you apply for the SEP

  • Special Event Server Course

Anyone who is applying for the Special Event Permit (SEP) will need to complete the Special Event Server Course (SES). You can complete the course at any time before the start of the event, but you can apply for the Special Event Permit before you complete the course. You do not need to complete the Serving It Right course. *Note if the applicant already has a Serving it Right (SIR) or Special Event Server (SES) you do not need to complete again and can just add you number to the application.

  • Liability Insurance

Most rental venues do require hosts to have liability insurance. We have included a link to Duuo Event Liability Insurance. It is very popular and reasonably priced. We have included a link for a free quote. You are free to choose which ever insurance company you like but we just added a recommendation to make your planning easier.

*Our bartenders are insured through our company but this does not cover host liability insurance that rental venues require.
